Owners:

Alexandria Huber

Alex got her start riding at local lesson barns at the age of 6 and got her first horse (an OTTB) as a teenager. She then went to Judson College in Marion, Alabama to pursue degrees in both Business Administration and Equine Science. While at Judson, Alex rode on both the Hunt Seat and Western equestrian teams and was a work study student in the barn. Alex also worked for a local farrier with a large herd of horses where she started a number of young quarter horses and some thoroughbreds. During a summer break between semesters she became a working student for 5* event rider Courtney Cooper, and after graduating college became her Assistant. While there she learned about sales from one of the top sales barns on the East Coast, she also was Courtney's head groom and rode both her personal and sales horses. Upon leaving Courtney's Alex moved home and purchased an OTTB which she is looking to move up to training level in the fall and another that is in his first year of competing. Alex enjoys restarting thoroughbreds and watching them grow and succeed in their new careers.

Mackenzie Hahn

Mackenzie grew up on her family's boarding farm where she learned all the basic horsemanship skills. She was involved in both 4-H and Pony Club where she achieved her C-2 rating. When she wasn't riding or taking care of her own horses, Mackenzie spent many days volunteering at Capital Area Therapeutic Riding Center working with kids and adults with a range of disabilities as well as taking care of the many horses on the farm. Upon graduating high school, Mackenzie attended the Pennsylvania State University where she majored in Animal Science with an Equine Science Minor. She was also a member of the Hunt Seat team as well as the Penn State Equine Research Team. After graduating college, she returned to work at Horseshoe Valley Equine Center where she works with many thoroughbreds from foals to current racehorses. Mackenzie currently owns two thoroughbreds of her own that she has retrained. One competes in eventing and the other competes in dressage and is a 2021 Retired Race Horse Project Graduate. Mackenzie enjoys retraining off the track thoroughbreds and matching them with their next partners so that they will be successful in a second career.

River Flyinred RVF "River"
2017 16 Hand chestnut Thoroughbred gelding by Shackleford.

River is currently in search of his new partner. He would be best suited for a low level dressage or trail riding home due to an old injury found during a pre-purchase exam. He is a super sweet boy and deserves a soft landing. River can be a bit sensitive but has no buck, bolt, spook or rear. He stands in the crossties, clips, bathes and stands for the farrier and vet. Please contact us for more information.

SOLD
Dig It "Pepperoni"
2017 16.3 Hand chestnut Thoroughbred gelding by Golddigger's Boy.

This lovely young horse is very quiet and a 10+ mover, we definitely see him as a future hack winner! He would be perfect for an adult amateur or intermediate rider working with a trainer to finish their way. He has more whoa than go but is definitely still green. Has been lightly started over fences and hacks out.
